Program - Unemployment Needs and Employer Process
This presentation will cover general eligibility requirements, and will explain more in depth how the reason for separation from employment impacts eligibility and chargeability. Connie will review state laws and administrative rules, and provide some guidance concerning the facts and evidence we look at with discharges and voluntary quits. She will also discuss the forms and notices we send to employers, and new law and rule concerning forfeiture of employer’s rights for failing to respond to requests for separation information.
Bio:
Connie has a background in social work and library science, but has found her niche working, in various positions, for Unemployment Insurance Division for the last 15 years or so. Connie has managed a team of Customer Service Representatives and Adjudicators in the Claims Processing Center, before receiving her current position of Administrative Specialist. As a specialist she provides guidance and claim expertise to claimants, employers, and to Unemployment Insurance management and staff.
