    Program Description:

    The purpose of the State Transportation Agency's (STA) Internal EEO Program is to ensure fair and equal treatment of persons regardless of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, age, and disability in all employment practices. The STA has the responsibility to develop and implement an Affirmative Action (AA) program plan to achieve parity of minorities and females in all major job categories. The purpose of the Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) is the development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of equal employment opportunity and affirmative action (EEO) of the STA programs. The purpose of the AAP Update is to report the progress and accomplishments of the STA's EEO programs.

    Presenter Information:

    After a career as a Special Education teacher and working in the non-profit world, Patti has been the Chief of Civil Rights for the Montana Department of Transportation since December 2010.  Her office has the responsibility to administer and provide oversight for compliance for both internal and external ADA compliance, Title VI & VII, Equal Employment Opportunity and Non-Discrimination, Contractor Compliance, Affirmative Action, On the Job Training/Supportive Services and the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise program.  With the State of Montana Patti worked with the Office of Public Assistance, Department of Labor Workforce Development and Training, Disability Services, including Vocational Rehabilitation.  Patti also served for 12 years on the Columbia Falls School Board.
