Program Description:  This session will help you identify red flags while screening application materials and during candidate interviews.  Participants are encouraged to use the information as a basis to ask candidates more questions.

    Presenter Information: Denise has worked for North Valley Hospital in human resources for almost 20 years; for the past 11 years, she has served as its recruiter.  In this role she has gained experience in skills testing, job description development, application and resume review, interviewing, personnel policy development and review, employee classifications and experience audits.  Denise earned an Associates of Applied Science degree in Human Resources Management from Flathead Valley Community College and holds current Professional Human Resources (PHR) and Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) –Certified Professional certifications.  Denise has been active with both the local and state chapters of SHRM, holding past leadership positions in Programs, Membership and Diversity.  Denise is passionate about sharing her HR knowledge and frequently volunteers to coach local high school and college students to help them prepare to enter the workforce, and she volunteers to present recruiting skills and job description development to business and HR professionals offered through Flathead Valley SHRM and Flathead Valley Community College.
