Program Description: Over and over Bob has seen how training supervisors in effective leadership can reduce the work of HR:
Supervisors refer fewer conflicts and issues to HR; Supervisors increased skills reduce the number of compliant on harassment, hostile work environment and general grievances; and Supervisors learn to engage and involve employees through effective development strategies.
In this meeting you will learn: The three skills every leader needs; About the two types of power every leader uses; How to develop and engage people using consistent leadership styles and strategies; How to make performance interventions that are less painful and more successful.
Presenter Information:
Bob Marsenich: Bob is the President of Glacier HR Services, Inc., a Montana based leadership coaching, organizational development, and human resource consulting firm. He is the author of two books, Ready Aim Change, A Toolbook for Managing Personal Change and When Stress is Eating at You, Just Bite Back/Keep Your Head up and Out of Your Bottom. He has also published a number of management articles in such magazines as “The Rotarian” and “Training Magazine.” For the last 30 years Bob has been working in organizations providing consulting and training on such topics as leadership development, coaching personal change for increased production, process improvement programs, managing change, team-building, supervision skills, discrimination/harassment, and other human resource topics. Bob also consults with companies for web-based human resources and payroll systems through partnerships with vendors of these services.
Bob was born and raised in Butte, Montana, received his degree in Social Work from the University of Montana, and lives in Missoula, Montana with his wife, Karen. In his spare time, Bob enjoys fly fishing, reading epic fantasy and writing.
